I own an older copy of Protools LE with the Digi 001 board. I bought it probably 4 years ago now. At the time it set me back $800 but today I bet you could get your hands on it for $300.

Its an older version of Protools but that was the top of the line stuff when I bought it and would still be much more than anyone would ever need today.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Cool Edit is good stuff. I don't think people give it enough credit. As for PCI cards, I don't have a alot of expirience but I like M-Audio's products. I use a Delta 1010LT myself but you might not need that many inputs or outputs.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">The Digi 001 board is still pretty high end stuff as far as I know.

yeah it definitely is. you can do anything with it. the only difference between it and a full board in a recording studio is that it doesn't have all of the plug-ins, but you can buy those as you go. I'm sure if you looked around on ebay you could pick up the digi 001 for a couple hundred bucks, considering the 002 has been out for quite a while now.

I use mine more for film related post-sound and not recording music so much anymore, but I still love it.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Yeah, the 001s seem to be going for between $150-300. Not a bad price for them. Right now I'm looking into building a new recording computer and getting a second Delta 1010LT so I can record 12 tracks at once. I'll probably grab a 5.1 card to so I can start makking Audio DVDs.

Thanks for all the help fellas.
I just purchased another mixing board. The Yamaha MG16/4. I got a good deal. Got it for $260.50 from ebay. I'll post some songs of my band when we get the Delta 1010LT which will be sometime this upcomming week and when we get the recording finished. here are a couple of pictures of the mixer. Awsome reviews overall.

<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Sweet deal! Those are nice boards. I really need to get something like that to replace our POS mixing board.
